Top 10 Most Read Books in the World

Happy Friday everyone!

What a crazy few weeks it has been. First it was -40, then the sky opened and dumbed tons of snow, and now it is raining and my snowman is all melted.

I wish it was spring already, but this warm weather is only a tease. It is supposed to drop back down to the high teens by early next week.

So grab a book, a warm tea and get some reading done.

I stumbled across this awesome infographic talking about the most read books. I am proud to say I have almost read five out of 10 of these books. These are classics. For those of you who have decided to make a resolution in 2013 to read more, put at least one of these books on the list.

  1. OBVIOUSLY you know I adore this post. And the Unputdownable Book Club will be sharing it. Sadly I have only read two of these books fully… I’ve only partially read the Diary of Anne Frank and most of the Holy Bible. Perhaps I should add them to my 2014 to read list?!

  2. My mother was a Sunday school teacher when I was little, so I have pretty much read the entire Bible (never in one sitting though, over many years).

I read the Diary of Anne Frank a few years ago and absolutely loved it. Such a unique perspective of war time, from the eyes of a young women having to battle her emotions during puberty and living in secret.

The next book from this list to read is The Alchhemist! but First I need to finish Lord of the rings πŸ™‚

  3. I have the Alchemist Krissy, you can borrow it anytime. It is one of my all time fav book!
I’ve read half of one Twilight (haha), Davinci Code, Harry Potters and The Alchemist. I’m not sure I would like reading Lord of The Rings. Obviously, the books are better than the movies?

  4. It depends on what you are in to. The Lord of the Rings are great, but they are long and descriptive. I really like them. they serve as a fresh jump away from reality in to a world of fantasy πŸ™‚

And I will take you up on the offer to borrow the Alchemist, but I have to finish my current book – I am re-reading the Hobbit.
