Podcasting is an easy way to communicate with your audience using an outlet easy for your audience to consume. I find people in PR and in communications under-use this tool, and a huge contribution to the lack of podcasts, is the lack of understanding. So in light of encouraging PR and comms professionals to hop on the podcasting wagon, I have dedicated this week’s PR word of the Week to explaining the word podcast.

A multimedia digital file made available on the Internet for downloading to a portable media player, computer, etc.
A simple way of understanding a podcast is, think of it as a radio show available on the internet in segmented episodes.
