The era of the passive audience that receives advertising messages is dead. Over. Gone. Social has become the norm. People speaking out about what they like and connecting with others who share those interests.
That is why learning how to properly engage and utilize social media is important.
On October 11, you can join me and CPRS Ottawa-Gatineau at Minto Suites on Lyon street in downtown Ottawa for the Social Media and New Media Boot Camp.
Learn how to use some of the top social media and new media tools like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, and Linkedin for your communications outreach. During each session attendees will learn about three different tools through step-by-step instruction, case studies and guided roundtable discussion.
I am very pleased to have been asked to talk to Twitter. I will discuss best practices, how to use it, and tools that can help you measure and track your success.
I want to make sure that everyone who attends gets the most out of my session. Therefore I am reaching out to those who have registered (if you haven’t registered, do so now, spots are filling up fast). I want to know what you want to take away from this social media boot camp evening. What are your primary concerns with using Twitter? What aspects of Twitter confuse you the most? Basically, how can I help you?
Please leave me a comment below and I will try and address all questions during my session. No question is silly, so ask away.
If you want to connect before the event, here is where you can find me:

I hope to see you all on October 11th at 5:30 p.m. at Minto Suites in the Salon Stanley room.
