It is that time of year again. With only a month left of school (post secondary), students across Canada are starting to look for jobs to ensure they can afford another year of school.
It is a tradition of mine to start panicking at this time of year. Luckily, this year I am comfortably working at Thornley Fallis & 76design. However, to help my fellow panicked students I thought it was very fitting to mention the IABC Ottawa podcast series.
IABC Ottawa recently started a podcast series that covers everything and anything related to marketing and communications.
The last two episodes have been part of the Jobline series and talk about finding a job.
Jobline is a website where employers can post a job and find competent communications professionals, and employees can find the latest jobs available in the industry of communications and marketing.
But even if you are not looking for a job, the episodes cover best practices anyone should follow, i.e. updating your resume often and building a positive and professional online presence.
