We all have a hero or an idol in our lives. Some of us may even have several. Today I wanted to share with you who my idol is. As a young female professional with ambition, I often look up to other female entrepreneurs, CEOs and business leaders.
Over the past two years, she has built a large online following at her blog, Spin Sucks. She has launched Spin Sucks Pro as a platform for marketing expertise tailored to the needs of senior executives. She finds time to co-host the Inside PR podcast. And she manages to hold down a day job as CEO of Arment Dietrich.
With all this on the go, Gini found the time to co-author with Geoff Livingston a book that every contemporary marketer should read: Marketing in the Round, a practical guide to integrating the traditional and new tools of marketing into a coherent, effective whole.
What a women, eh?
That is why Gini is number one on my list of idols.
And lucky me, I get to meet her for the first time in person at the next Third Tuesday Ottawa on July 24 at 5 p.m.
Not only will attendees get the chance to listen to this amazing women talk, but they will learn how they can break down the silos in their company and centralize efforts to integrate the same messaging across all communications.
Oh and did I mention you get a copy of her book! And if you are a nerd like me, you will also get excited when you find out you have the chance to meet her and have her sign your book.
If you are a student, then this is your lucky day, because your admission is free! Third Tuesday is a great opportunity to hear about the latest developments in social media and to network with business and thought leaders. And Thornley Fallis wants students to take advantage of this opportunity. So, if you are a student and would like to attend, don’t let the admission fee stop you. Simply present your student ID card at the time you sign into Third Tuesday and we’ll refund your admission fee, courtesy of Thornley Fallis.
